My Most Personal Commit Yet

This commit may not pass all checks. But it’s live, and that’s what matters.

After spending years writing code (maybe not the best code), fixing broken data pipelines, deploying data products into production, and mentoring early-stage data engineers, this might be the strangest thing I’ve ever deployed: a personal blog.

It’s not about building something scalable or highly optimized. It’s about sitting down to write, reflect, and share parts of me that don’t always fit inside a Jira ticket.

I first thought about starting a blog two years ago. I even tried once, but the timing wasn’t right — chaotic life, wrong timing, and not the right environment. Then last week, while reflecting with my girlfriend, I started thinking about all the projects I’ve either forgotten or been too afraid to act on. This blog was one of them.

I never imagined that in 2025 I’d be writing a personal blog — not after all these years in tech, and definitely not as someone who prefers staying behind the scenes. But here I am, committing to something personal for once. A space to write, think, and share stories that go beyond code.

That said, I’ll still write tech posts — mostly about data, the field I’ve been working in for over 7 years. Some posts will be technical: data pipelines, Spark optimization, data platforms. Others might be anime reviews, thoughts on productivity, or just whatever’s on my mind.

It’s all connected in my head, and it’s what makes me, well… me. So I’ll try to connect these things here — and hopefully make some sense of it along the way.

I don’t expect anyone to read this. This is mostly for me — a space to practice expressing myself, reflect on what I’ve learned, and give myself permission to think out loud.

If you’re into data, anime, or life in tech, I hope you’ll stick around. And if not — thanks for reading anyway. It means a lot.
